Dr. Balaji completed his Medical School from JJM Medical College, University of Mysore, India. Dr. Balaji was awarded “Resident of Year” for his outstanding contribution to medical education and patient care while he was doing his Internal Medicine Residency at UPMC McKeesport, PA.
Board certified by American Board of Internal Medicine to provide Medical care (Preventative care, Management of chronic diseases like High Blood pressure and Cardiac diseases, Management of acute illness like Pneumonia heart failure etc.) to adults over 18 yrs of age.
Continuous enduring education is a goal for Dr. Balaji who has been certified as a “Clinical Hypertension Specialist” by the American Society of Hypertension to achieve appropriate recognition treatment and look for complications of Hypertension. Dr. Balaji also has obtained a board Certification in Lipidology (Study of cholesterol and its disorders) to combat the Nation’s leading cause of death: Heart Disease.
His fascination with scientific approach to Medicine is exemplified by his scholarly publications before, during and after his Residency training. For his scientific fervor, he was awarded the “Fellow of American College of Physicians” Fellowship in the College as an honor. Being an FACP is a mark of esteem from colleagues who recognize accomplishments and achievements over and above the practice of medicine.
His patients have bestowed on him the recognition of “Patient’s choice” for his patient care for four years in a row starting from 2007-2011.
Dr. Balaji provides medical care for his patients in the office setting at 298 Michigan Avenue Ste. 101, in the local area hospitals: Holmes Regional Medical Center, Wuesthoff Medical Center Melbourne, and rehabs at Sea Pines Rehabilitation Hospital and at Melbourne Terrace Rehabilitation Center thus giving Medical care in all the settings.
Dr. Balaji is married and has two children living in Indialantic.
